Madinah Arabic Reader Book 1

Professor Abdur Rahim, Director of the Translation Centre of the King Fahd Quran Printing Complex and former Professor of Arabic at the Islamic University of Madinah, Saudi Arabia, has authored texts designed to impart knowledge of classical Arabic through applied grammar. Each lesson, based on a conversation, illustrates distinctive language patterns. A variety of helpful exercises elucidates these patterns. The vocabulary ranges from classical and Quranic Arabic to modern Arabic. This series of books is currently being utilized at various schools to prepare students for the University of London (U.K.) GCE O-Level and A-Level examinations.

Arabic was the language of the Prophet Ishmael (A.S.), the son of the Prophet Ibrahim (A.S.). They were called pure Arabs. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was also a descendant of Ishmael (A.S.) and his family's language, the Quraysh, was the most eloquent of all languages. Allah Almighty also revealed the Holy Quran in this language.
